Thank You for Joining Us!
We’re so excited to welcome you to our Queer Ballroom Dance community. Your spot in the class is confirmed, and we can’t wait to dance with you!
Here’s a quick reminder to get you ready for your Queer Ballroom class:
What You Need to Know
Bring a photo ID to enter the building.
Arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for security.
Let security know you’re heading to the 17th floor.
We’re scheduled in Studio 17D, but check the monitors for “Queer Ballroom” as room assignments may change last minute.
What to Bring
A change of footwear! Wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily.
Shoes with suede or leather soles are best for mastering turns, but any non-rubber sole will help you glide on the floor.
A bottle of water, your best smile, and an open mind.
What to Expect
Beginner friendly: No experience needed, we’ll guide you every step.
Inclusive and welcoming: Gay, lesbian, bi, trans, queer, and allies — all are celebrated here.

Connection: Get ready to dance, connect, and celebrate queer joy with new friends.
Come as you are — whether you’re shy, nervous, or excited, you’ll fit right in.
Partnering: No partner needed — come solo or with a friend.
FAQ Highlights
Do I need a partner? Nope! Come solo or bring a friend — we’ll make sure everyone dances.
What if I’ve never danced before? Perfect! That’s who this class is for. We love terrified beginners. :)
What if I can’t make all 6 classes? No problem — each class builds skills, but you’ll still learn plenty even if you miss one. We do videos at the end of the class with the summary of what we learned.
Thank you again for signing up. We’re thrilled to have you join us.
See you on the dance floor!
With joy,
Robbie & The Queer Ballroom Team
